Product Description
Acid-Pack 4-Way 2X (Alltech) provides a combination of acidifiers, electrolytes and enzymes to assist calves, pigs and poultry in maintaining a healthy digestive track.
Acid-Pack 4-Way 2X for Calves A pH level above 6.0 favors the growth of pathogenic bacteria. Young animals primarily consume milk diets with a pH level of 6.5 to 7.0, therefore it is advisable to lower the pH level of the feed consumed in order to create less than optimal conditions for pathogenic bacteria growth. Digestive enzymes also become more optimally active at reduced (more acidic) pH levels. When organic acids such as Acid-Pak 4-Way are added to milk or milk replacers, pH decreases to a level at which enzyme activity becomes enhanced. This leads to faster clotting, better nutrient utilization and higher gains. Application and use rate for Calves: Dissolve .25 ounce (8 grams) in one gallon of milk or milk replacer. Feed according to recommended levels, day 1 until approximately day 14 and/or after antibiotic treatment.

To maximize both response and convenience use Acid-Pack 4-Way in water post-weaning. Relocating and heat stress interupts feed intake patterns. Acidifying water helps the pig maintain physiological conditions in the intenstine during these times of stress. Applications and use rates for Pigs: Water intake will vary with the body weight of the pigs being treated. Lower water pH and lactic acid bacteria work together to aid the bird in keeping gut pH in a range optimum for digestive enzyme activity and establishment of a normal healthy population of gut microbes. The enzymes and electrolytes in Acid-Pack 4-Way replenish depleted stores following the flushing effects of heat stress and rapid feed passage.
Applications and use rates for Poultry. Add 0.5lb/128 gallons of drinking water.
Newly-placed chicks, poults, broiler breeders, ducks Days 1-5; 1 day per week to market (broilers)
Turkeys and Ostriches Days 1-5; 1 day per week for 10 weeks
Moving birds 2 days before, 3 days after transport and during Heat Stress, use every other day as needed
